Role: Head of Design
As the Head of Design, I led the design strategy for Kangarootime, focusing on building an intuitive and cohesive platform that balanced the complex needs of childcare providers with an easy-to-use interface. My role involved user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, ensuring the product was functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing.

The Challenge
Kangarootime needed a scalable solution to simplify the complexities of managing childcare centers, from billing and scheduling to parent communication. The challenge was to create an intuitive experience for administrators, staff, and families, ensuring that even users with limited technical expertise could easily navigate and engage with the platform.
The Process
Research & Discovery: My team conducted extensive research, including user interviews with childcare administrators, staff, and parents. We mapped out the critical pain points in managing childcare operations and explored how technology could improve efficiency and communication. The insights gathered helped us define the most needed features and informed the platform's overall design strategy.
Wireframing & Prototyping: I led the creation of detailed wireframes and prototypes to visualize the key user workflows, such as scheduling, billing, and parent communications. Prototypes were tested with real users to ensure the designs were practical and easy to use.
Collaborating with Stakeholders: Working closely with Kangarootime’s development, product, and customer support teams, I ensured that the design aligned with the technical constraints while meeting the company's business objectives. Frequent design reviews and iterative feedback sessions helped maintain alignment and foster collaboration across departments.
Iterative Design Process: Using an agile methodology, I continuously delivered iterative design updates to refine and improve the platform. User feedback was regularly incorporated, and we tested new features and workflows with real users to validate our assumptions and make necessary adjustments.
